You can see this thing as a poor's man ansible to quickly configure an out of the box Amiga OS. It is a fast and easy way to create a standard, simple yet powerfull way of reproducing a configuration.
- Copy "standard" Workbench directories to SYS:
- Copy content of APPS directory to the partition of your choice (eg. "WORK:")
- Let you choose some commodities to activate
- Apply Startup-sequence patch (Amiga Edit script)
- Add content to user startup.
Note: Amiga Edit script reference can be found on pagetable site
You need an already installed base workbench that boots on your target disk.
On a disk (floppy, UAE, PCMCIA, etc.):
- Prepare everthing you want in the standard folders (S, C, Libs, etc.)
- if needed, prepare startup-sequence and user startup patch file (see example in this repo)
- if needed, create an "APPS" directory for things to install to another partition
- copy the installer script with its icon in the root of the disk
- mount this disk on Amiga and double click on
QuickInstall
