Older version has issues if you are to use gradle 3.0. It would probably save some headache for people if they knew that they should use 1.5

This is actually also the case if you use Gradle 2.14.1 and gradle android tools 2.1.3 which Android Studio automatically recommends you update to when you open a project, so I imagine much more people will encounter this issue and need to update. Otherwise people will see a Gradle sync failed: No service of type Factory available in ProjectScopeServices. error |

Just ran into this, thanks @Jawnnypoo ! This should be fixed soon. The repo will fail to build for anyone who keeps things updated. |
