Highlights:

Ships the model-owned generation-default fix in the public app bundle so explicit JANG defaults such as Step-3.7-Flash temperature 0.00, top-p 1.0, and top-k off are detected from bundle metadata, displayed in app settings, and applied before session config is saved.
Keeps startup sampling behavior derived from generation_config.json and jang_config.json instead of hidden app-side sampler forcing.
Carries the 1.5.53 emergency release fixes for Step metadata, ZAYA VL Responses/native-tool UI, streaming hardening, Sequoia/Tahoe split wheels, MiniCPM remap, Gemma4, TurboQuant, Hadamard, and MLA patch import gates.
Builds both public DMG flavors from the same source: Sequoia-compatible macosx_14 wheels and Tahoe-native macosx_26 wheels.

Verification:

Generation-defaults and settings-flow focused tests passed, including adopted running-session default application.
The generation-defaults cross-matrix contract passed before packaging.
Bundled Python verification passed for vMLX 1.5.54 and local JANG tools, including critical TurboQuant, Hadamard, VLM, MiniCPM remap, Step3p7 VLM, and MLA patch import gates.
Sequoia and Tahoe DMG containers are Developer ID signed, Apple notarized, stapled, Gatekeeper accepted, and verified by the release DMG verifier.
The Tahoe DMG was installed into /Applications/vMLX.app and the installed app reports Info.plist 1.5.54 plus bundled vmlx_engine 1.5.54 from packaged site-packages.

Known follow-up:

DSV4 Flash long full-output/code-generation exactness remains deferred for separate exact-code/runtime-quality clearance.
MiMo remains a deferred broken-model lane.
Full real Electron UI cross-family live model matrix remains deferred follow-up work beyond this emergency release.
