KyoubeAI now runs on the latest Paperclip core, 2026.1012.0, with everything KyoubeAI adds to it intact.

What's in 1.11.0

The latest core. KyoubeAI moves to Paperclip 2026.1012.0. Highlights for KyoubeAI users:

  • Codex runs survive restarts and model capacity limits.
  • Steer and Interrupt in chat deliver straight away.
  • Mobile task pages scroll and lay out better.
  • New companies and new hires start with short role descriptions instead of long manuals.
  • Claude Code, Codex and other MCP clients can join as a signed-in person, under Settings → Experimental → Assistant connections (MCP). This needs an https:// address.

Your KyoubeAI changes carry over. Licensing, user groups, the Studio design, the KyoubeAI branding, the installable app, the onboarding skip and the pi and Hermes chat fixes all work on the new core.

New agents can change other agents. The core now gives every newly hired agent permission to change agents and skills, plus tools, inbox and task permissions. Agents you already have keep what they had. To take it away from one agent, switch off Can change agents on its profile.

Low-trust managers are protected too. The agent working rules now protect a manager that has a low-trust policy, instead of skipping it.

Worth knowing: an agent can now get an email inbox without turning on an experimental setting. Every new email thread becomes a task for that agent, and user groups don't restrict it. Only owners and admins can set one up. SECURITY.md has the details.

Update

From 1.10, run ./update.sh. It backs up first, and ./update.sh --rollback returns to 1.10. The new core runs 12 database migrations on the first start, so give it a few minutes before it answers.

What changes for your team is in docs/upgrading.md, including a one-line check for leftover workspace lock folders. The full list of changes is in CHANGELOG.md.
