0.2.2

A drop-in patch on top of v0.2.1. No on-disk format change (f04 stays f04), so
any machine already on v0.2.0 or later can upgrade without a migration.

Fixes

  • tbd setup --auto --dry-run is now genuinely read-only. The legacy-cleanup pass
ran before any dry-run gating, so inspecting a setup with --dry-run could rewrite
.claude/settings.json and delete legacy tbd scripts and hooks from disk — including
    hooks you had just installed.
Dry runs now compute and report what would change ("Would clean up legacy …")
    without touching any files.
Covered by two new regression tests.

Guidelines and content

These ship inside the package and are read by agents via tbd guidelines …:

  • supply-chain-hardening — new “Safe-override patterns” section: how to pull a
fresh package version without weakening the global 14-day cool-off
    (verify-then-install flow with per-ecosystem verify commands, tarball-URL and git-ref
installs that bypass npm version resolution, exact pins for uv/cargo/go), plus the
dogfood footgun where an age gate silently resolves @latest to a stale version.
  • cli-agent-skill-patterns — L0–L3 integration ladder and project-vs-global scope:
the binary Tier-1/Tier-2 model is replaced by an L0–L3 ladder (pure prompt skill →
    pinned-delegation skill → self-installing skill → full platform), and a new §6.6.2
codifies project-local vs user-global install mechanics (explicit
--project/--global, $HOME refusal in project mode, pre-write target printing,
    cross-scope shadowing).

Documentation

  • Applied the common documentation guidelines to the docs shipped in this release (write
“and” rather than "&"/"+" in prose, headings, and cross-references).
