Tado Thermostat does not follow room temperature sensor

Hey, I have two Tado X thermostats in one room and a SwitchBot Meter Pro 55 as a temperature sensor. Unfortunately, I noticed that the Tado thermostats always use the internal temperature sensor and not the SwitchBot, even though I specified it as the underlying temperature sensor. Do you have any idea what could be causing this?

Hello, you give the temperature sensor to the Vtherm and not to the Tado right ?
Why do you think the Tado should have you temperature sensor ?

So for my understanding: It is not possible to completely "ignore" the temperature sensor of the thermostat and use an external temperature sensor alone? I can just use synchronization for example to sync both of them, right?

I worked on the VTherm again and now it uses both due to synchronization, instead of just the internal sensor of the thermostat. The only downside is, that I cannot use "Follow underlying temp change" and change the temp on the thermostat as well, as it would be confusing with the synchronization?!

Please correct me if I get anything wrong!

Yes, if your device (Tado) don't have this feature you need an external component (VTherm or automation) to synchronize the internal temperature or offset calibration or to force the setpoint to a higher value until the target temp is reach (the self-regulation of VTherm).

It should work. It you set the setpoint to 22°, then VTherm will receive setpoint=22 and will manage to have 22° at the temperature sensor. For me it should work. But your feedback can be interesting.

Okay, I tried it and it worked! I was just confused because of the changing target temperature on the Tado and thougt this did not work, but it does!
One last question to get this right: What do you mean with this: "you need an external component (VTherm or automation)"? If I talk about an external component, I mean the Switchbot temperature sensor. If you say "VTherm or automation", do you think about something else than adding the Switchbot to the VTherm Thermostat?

No Vtherm does it for you. But if you don't have VTherm you can do the same with an automation.
