Rooms not reaching temperature

None of my 9 rooms are reaching their temperature after 8.6.0 update.
Nothing apart from the update has been changed.

I just need the valves to open fully like before - now they only reach 20-30% .

What do I do ?

Software update Saturday evening to 8.6.0

Living Room:
Full open valve Saturday until reference temperature is met. Next day when reference is increased again, the valve is not opening.

Daughters room:

Nothing is changed in the config, apart from software update.

Hi,

I see you use the VTherm over climate without valve control. You use the self-regulation feature. I see you try a strong self regulation on the screenshoot and medium on the config.

Can you test with a low auto regulation mode? Can your TRV work with valve control?

The self regulation is more a feature for electric heater than TRV. You will have a better result with the valve control.

I cannot do direct valve control on Danfoss Ally (at least not as far as I know, but I am checking).
I have previously been running Light or Medium - only Strong normally can bring up the opening of the Thermostat, but in order to test, I have set the "Trappe" for low.

You said it was working fine before 8.6.0 ? Can you confirm please ? Can you check in the VTherm UI Card the regulated temperature if the value is updated (it should greater than the setpoint in your case) :

If you don't find anything, can you re-install the previous release and tell me if it works as before. I don't see any change on the 8.6.0 that could explain a change in the behavior of this part.

Hi,

I read nothing abnormal on the log.

Spisestue Versatile Thermostat, regulated temperature is 2C above the target.
Elisa Versatile Thermostat, regulated temperature is 1.5C abobe the target.
Gæsteværelse Versatile Termostat, regulated temperature is 1.5C above the target.

I don't think it's a versatile thermostat issue. I see the valve open at 20% when heating is requested.

I'm not sure but I think it's how your valve convert the target temperature into a valve position. Did you install an update on your TRV?

I am still struggling. Here is Elisa's room. Even that we are almost 1 degree from target temperature, valve still does not open fully.

Set your auto-regulation level to a higher level. You have this auto_regulation_mode: auto_regulation_medium. Set it to 'high' or 'very_high'

Hello in 8.6.1 we introduce this fix "fix #1630 - [Feature Request] - Add expert option to deactivate the accumulated error division in case of error inversion (#1653)" by @bontiv.

I don't see why this have change the behavior on your side. Are you sure you are not in expert mode ?

Can you please install the 8.6.0 back and let us know. You have to force the release in HACS to get the 8.6.0.

Parameters of the strong mode is:

    kp: float = 0.4
    ki: float = 0.08
    k_ext: float = 0.0
    offset_max: float = 5
    accumulated_error_threshold: float = 50
    overheat_protection: bool = True

I see you are at accumulated_error 50 (max) and 1C of below. $50 * 0,08 + 1 * 0,4 = 4,4$ So your TRV should have 4,5C above the target (so 25,5C). What is your regulated_target_temperature ?

Can you make a graph with:

• current temperature
• target temperature
• regulated temperature

It will be usefull to help you.
