Running on Virtualbox

The easiest way to accomplish this is to run it in a virtual machine. Luckily, today virtualization software is free and easy to use. Personally, I like to use Virtualbox. You could also use Bochs or QEMU as well, and probably many others that I haven't tried.
- Install Virtualbox
- Build the kernel
- Generate the ISO image
- Configure a new machine in Virtualbox that uses the ISO image as a CD
- Run it!
