New articles being marked as read

I have posted a few bugs recently, but this one is perhaps the most serious.

When you refresh the article list (either manually or 'on start'), the new articles appear above and off screen from the current articles. This means if you use the 'mark scroll as read' option that all the new articles are instantly marked read. Ideally, the reader would snap to the top of the list before displaying the new articles below so that nothing appears above the current position and, therefore, wouldn't automatically get marked as read.

Hey. I have the nightly 2026.04.1207 installed at the moment. The sidebar fix is working great. I have the above mentioned bug with the stables, too.

Thanks, this is helpful - this is a regression from when I reworked mark-read-on-scroll (#2026). I'll take a look.

Using 2026.04.27 since you rolled back those changes and it has been perfect for me. No surprise sidebar, no unexpected marking as read. I have tried to replicate the 2026 bug but I can't. Great work!
