imx6 / imx8 support

Is there any interest in supporting imx6 or imx8-based boards? I've got a couple and would be happy to take a look at them and submit PRs accordingly. (imx8 might be tricky due to the need for building ATF, but imx6 is a clean shot.)

Yes, that's interesting. Which boards do you mean specifically? I prefer to use mainline U-Boot and ATF if possible.

A Toradex Ixora carrier with a dual and a quad imx6 SoM, a dual Wandboard, and an Olimex i.MX8 (this one is not mainlined yet). The imx8 requires some ddr4 training blobs but those can be had from the nxp site programmatically.

Agree on mainline.

Blobs for very early stuff like DDR setup is fine. Some other SoCs already have that.
