Description
I think I have failed to be conservative.
I've been riding the GetX wave for a long time, and it's become clear that while this package has been reliable and minimally intrusive, it's time to evolve. In the spirit of progress—and with a nod to our ever-changing Flutter landscape—I want to propose a couple of initiatives that might just take GetX to the next level.
1. Modern Docs & Engaging Articles:
Just like I’ve had to adjust my mindset over the years, I believe our documentation should too. Imagine a series of articles that not only lay out the best practices for using GetX but also illustrate, with real-world examples, why alternatives like BLoC, Provider, and Riverpod just don’t cut it compared to GetX. We could use some bold, clickbait-worthy language to really catch the eye of developers. Think titles like “Why BLoC, Provider, and Riverpod Are Holding You Back—and How GetX Sets You Free!” It’s about showing that GetX isn’t just another tool; it’s the game changer.
2. A Standard Project Template (Possibly MVC-Based):
As Flutter matures, our users expect modern, ready-to-go solutions. Let’s create a robust, standard project template that anyone can use to jumpstart their projects. This template should showcase the best practices and architecture (maybe even an MVC structure) that we stand by. Just like the way I once resisted changes that complicated my workflow, we now have the chance to offer a template that prevents the chaos of reinventing the wheel for every project.
I’m aware that change can be unsettling, much like those minor breaking changes we all dread. However, these improvements are about future-proofing GetX and ensuring it stays as relevant and powerful as ever. I believe with these enhancements, we can offer our community a modern foundation that not only keeps up with Flutter’s evolution but also clearly demonstrates why GetX outshines its competitors.
Looking forward to your thoughts on this, and hoping we can all embrace these changes for a stronger, more dynamic GetX!
