Hi, I'm José Alves

Embedded systems engineer, Cisco networking instructor, and aspiring informatics teacher — based in Porto, Portugal.

What I do

  • Embedded systems at Expertmode — IoT, hardware integration, ESP32, PCB design.
  • Cisco CCNA/CCST instructor at IEFP — over 10,000 training hours delivered.
  • MSc student in Informatics Education at FCUP, University of Porto (expected 2027).

Currently working on

  • A multi-user algorithmic trading platform (Python · FastAPI · Docker · React) — currently in paper-trading validation.
  • Self-hosted infrastructure on Nextcloud, Cloudflare Tunnel, and Docker.
  • Curriculum design for Cisco networking and cybersecurity courses.
