docs: sync the wiki to the 2026.8 feature set (#968, #885, #1029)
I worked through the #968 audit against the shipped v2026.8.0 code rather
than the issue's checklist, and closed the gaps that were actually still
open.
Terminology:
- Field of View -> Sun acceptance angle across every page where it names a
UI label, with a rename note on Configuration-Sun-Tracking. I kept the
FOV shorthand where it names something users still see: the fov_left /
fov_right option keys, the in_fov attribute, and decision-trace reasons
like "sun in FOV".
- Motion Override -> Occupancy Detection.
New pages:
- Configuration-Day-Night-Shade — the three control models and the
two-rail coupling rules, including why concurrent rail travel is off by
default.
- Configuration-Dual-Panel — the front/back split and the blackout
triggers, and how it differs from the day/night type.
Both linked from Cover-Types and _Sidebar.
Filled in:
- Configuration-Climate: the full shipped field set in flow order, adding
auto-resolve from area, forecast temp source, full-close in summer heat,
glare tracking seasons, smoothing hold time, and the four release
thresholds — plus a section on how hold time and hysteresis differ (#885).
- Runtime-Configuration-Services: set_occupancy, with set_motion demoted
to a deprecated shim and a field migration table.
- Configuration-Tilt: was five rows; now covers specify-angles mode, the
clamp-vs-proportional transform, the sun-only flags, and the safety margin.
- Configuration-Custom-Position: slot names and the three clamp limits,
with the clamp-vs-replace distinction #943 actually asked about.
- Diagnostic-Sensors: linear_position and a section on the logical vs
cover position frames.
- My-Position-Support-Somfy-RTS: transit direction and the assumed
My-position readback.
- Features: ten cover types, the corrected service count, the climate
additions.
Dashboard-Cards inverted-cover section (#1029): dropped the "every surface
corrects together" claim from Option A, which was only ever true of Option
B, and replaced it with a table of what Inverse State does and does not
reach. Added a step ahead of both for the source integration's own
reverse-direction setting, and named the versions the card display starts
correcting from (integration v2026.8.0 + card v2.15.0).
Also fixed an anchor-only link in Tile-Card that could not resolve.
