Lap 0.3.0 PR build — looking for testing volunteers

Hi guys,

Lap 0.3.0 is functionally complete and in final testing. I could really use your help testing this last PR.

0.3.0 is a fairly big update with a lot of new features, including:

• Apple Live Photo support
• A redesigned Library home page
• New Smart Albums
• New Collection Tray
• Search panel improvements — visual search and filename search are now merged into one search box
• Grid view now supports grouping
• Four-pane comparison mode
• Various UI polish
• Bug fixes for issues tagged 0.2.5

Even with AI's help, working on Lap still takes up nearly all of my free time outside my day job. Your support and feedback are a big part of what keeps me going.

I started Lap because I couldn't find a photo management app that satisfied me. I really liked FastStone, but its UI has gotten a bit dated. When I started, I underestimated how much work an app like this would actually take — thanks to a lot of great advice along the way, Lap has come a long way.

There's still plenty left to do, but it takes time. I'd also love to have more contributors join in and help make Lap even better.

my main concern is that all my photos are not visible.

Folder details show that there are thousands of images in every folder, but background image says "No Files Found"

It happens with every folder.

That's strange. Did you set up a file type filter in the toolbar on the main page?

No, nothing changed by me after update.

Can I provide you with logs somehow?

Just checked - version 99 and prior work fine, versions 101 and above don't show any photos in my library.

The reason is that I merged the dev-stage minor version DB upgrades in the latest PR. it could cause the database upgrade to fail when Lap starts up.

The current version doesn't affect the official release.
Please try the latest PR-104 build.

By the way - photos in fullscreen view do not synchronize with those in main app when sweeping left/right. Would you consider adding fullscreen for the main window instead of additional one?
