Focus event isn't fired after reloading list. Is it a bug or by design?

Hi, I observed the behavior while using fzf to implement a directory explorer. It can be demonstrated by this command:

$ printf 'a\nb\n' | fzf --bind 'right:reload(printf "c\nd\n"),focus:transform-header:echo FOCUS {}'

• 'a' is initially selected.
• Press right arrow key to reload a new list. 'c' is selected. However, header still shows "FOCUS a".

As a user I immediately thought this was a bug. However, when I asked Gemini about this, it seemed to be aware of this issue and suggested a workaround using load (yes, it worked). When I asked where I could find more discussion about this issue it gave #2644, and #3460. I'm not sure these issues are relevant because they have been closed as completed.

The man page is terse about this behavior and doesn't mention reload explicitly.

Triggered when the focus changes due to a vertical cursor movement or a search result update.

I understand reload is special (from what I read it's asynchronous), but from a user's perspective, reloading and initial loading should have the same behavior. Just curious, is this a known issue or by design?
