J, thank you for your continued effort with skins and support for kodi.

I can see where you are going with AF3, so i will try to not ask you to bring back a lot of features from previous.

Although, a couple of things...

☆ widgets, can you add Card view back please?

☆ in list flixart, can you add back in the poster image too?

☆ footer, is there anyway to control if thats shown or not?

☆ context menu, possibility to remove the top aspect, as this is all available as soon as you click into movie

☆ Any possibility to have control over, 4k, dv,7.1, star rating etc..... seems to be a lot of clutter (additional tags)

☆ In info, anyway to disable standard edition this just seems excessive

☆ I am guessing there is a good reason for top header with date and time, but, anyway to get rid of temp?

Also, i understand that each Category is its own hub as such now, but is there a way to make them load all at once?

I get you're trying to make this a 'simpler' skin and faster.

Oh yeah this is definitely coming back - I know people love this one and I have no qualms with it being a widget type. It's still in the skin as a viewtype, I've just temporarily disabled it for widgets until I figure out how to manage it for wall mode (card completely breaks the wall, so I'll probably force it to fallback to poster in that mode).

Yeah I can do this. Can you open a separate feature request for this? I'll look at it tomorrow. Helps having separate requests with their own issue numbers to work towards.

I'll add it as a separate viewtype because point of removing the poster was so it can work with music too.

Not really because clock is at the top now, so doesn't make sense to duplicate. Were you wanting to remove the studio?

Hmmm I agree. Think I'll redesign this. Didn't really consider files having multiple audio streams with the same language (I'm guessing it's something like 5.1 / 7.1 / 2.0 Russian 5.1 / 2.0 English etc.). Idea was to show what languages/subs the movie supports, but this is not the way.

Not that I can think of. You have to open the window to have Kodi load it.

I wish there was a way to have better control over loading but there's not really. It's either put everything in one window to have it all load at once, or put it in separate windows to have it load only when opened.

Thinking about this a bit more, I'm guessing this is less an issue of actually preloading the hubs and more about the fact that the spotlight looks a bit crap when it's blank and loading.

I've got a couple of ideas of how to give this a bit more polish.

1. Have a "loading boxes" like how widgets load in where the info appears for the spotlight. Not 100% on this but might help with the feeling of empty space without going down the filler info route like using weather info or stats like I did in AF1 which no one liked.
2. Have a static item fallback -- i.e. you'd choose a single item (or maybe a couple of items) to act as the "loading" item then the skin would store the basic info (fanart, title, logo, premiered, plot etc.) and display it while the "real" widget is loading. I quite like this idea but maybe could get a bit "samey" over time and start associating bad feelings towards that movie! (it makes me think of when I was younger and made my ringtone one of my favourite songs and now I hate that song because it was my ringtone!)
3. Similar to (2) but instead of a fallback item, the skin could temporarily "save" the item from the previous hub window and display that while the spotlight is loading in -- I think this might be the most "natural" feeling of the lot but I guess could be weird if you go from say a movies hub to a music hub or vice versa.

I'll have a think about it a bit more, but I'm guessing this is more the issue that feeling of the blank space on first load is not great rather than the actual loading itself being the problem?
