This Privacy Policy describes how SmartScript for Jira ("the App") handles your data. As a Forge-native application, we prioritize your privacy by keeping your data within your Atlassian Cloud environment.
The App is built on the Atlassian Forge platform. We do not operate any external servers or databases.
- Script Data: All automation scripts you create are stored exclusively using Atlassian's Forge Storage API.
- Execution Logs: Logs generated during script execution (including success/failure status and console output) are stored within your Jira instance's storage.
- Jira Data: When a script is triggered by a Jira event (e.g., issue created), the App processes the event payload in memory. We do not store Jira issue content, user names, or comments permanently outside of the required script execution context.
- No Third-Party Transmission: We do not transmit any of your data, metadata, or analytics to third-party servers.
- No Tracking: We do not use any analytics tools (such as Google Analytics or Mixpanel) or error tracking services that collect data outside of your Atlassian site.
- Retention: Data is retained as long as the App is installed on your Jira instance.
- Deletion: If you uninstall the App, all stored scripts and execution logs are automatically deleted by the Atlassian Forge infrastructure according to Atlassian’s data retention policies.
Your data is protected by Atlassian’s industry-leading security infrastructure. The App operates within a secure sandbox environment provided by Atlassian Forge, ensuring strict isolation from other apps and systems.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Effective Date" at the top of this document.
