Marauder v7

The Marauder v7 is the second in the line of standalone Marauder hardware offering WiFi and Bluetooth analysis capabilities with a full user interface controlled via 5-way tactile switch. Included in the hardware is a full power management system which supplies power to the display, ESP32 MCU, GPS Module, and battery management circuit

Marauder

With the onboard ESP32 and Micro SD card slot, users can run the Marauder firmware which allows them access to WiFi and Bluetooth analysis capabilities. For additional information regarding the features of the Marauder firmware, please read the rest of the project wiki. The Marauder v7 uses the _v7 distribution of the Marauder firmware. This is relevant when it comes time to update the firmware.

Battery

This unit includes integrated battery management hardware which accommodates fitment and charging for a 3.7V JST Lipo battery. The Marauder v7 has a battery fuel gauge which displays the battery's current state of charge as a percentage on the status bar of the display.

Tactile Switch

This unit features a 5-way tactile switch which functions like a joystick split into UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, and CENTER clicks. This switch is used to navigate the menu as well as the various Marauder functions.

GPS

The Marauder v7 features an integrated GPS module which offers location data which may be used for wardriving, marking points of interest, or other various location data logging needs. The GPS module requires a GPS which is mounted external to the enclosure.

Updating Firmware

Firmware for the Marauder v7 can be updated through through the USB port via FZEE Flasher, Spacehuhn Webflasher, Arduino IDE, or via the SD card slot. For more information regarding firmware updates, please see Update Firmware.
