Dedicated AIS Hardware - IP/UDP Port

Hi

I have dedicated AIS hardware running on my network that takes a IP/address and a UDP port. I have for sometime been running
AIS-Catcher off a raspberry-pi however this will be decommissioned from any AIS operations.

My feed point in Melbourne is VK3YMML. Let me now if your require any further information

Hi Brett, I don’t think the hardware can send directly to the community feed over UDP. You’ll still need AIS-catcher running somewhere in between. Point the receiver to that machine, then use AIS-catcher -x <local-IP> <port> -X <sharing-key>.

I will have to check with the hardware supplier and see what can be worked out, I am hosting for a private company however I can utilisze the data locally.

Yes, indeed. Just run AIS-catcher locally and connect to the machine (can provide instructions). Alternatively, I can set up an UDP port on the server so you can send it there via conventional methods.

Would that be AIS on a Windows machine or linux. Currrently running adsb.im with dual AIS and ADS-B systems
