Markdown render in repo comments bug

In /assets/js/util.js:renderMD() an error occurs with the backtick. In some cases the rendering gets confused and misses a backtick.

Observe how issue #20 displays the comments. The issue will be seen there.

Bold "**" is not working, it should convert to <strong>.

Italics "*" is not working, it should convert to <i>.

Investigate the following choices:

• leave as is
• Use a third party plug-in
• Enhance the current markdown function - /assets/js/:utils.js:renderMD()

• https://github.com/markedjs/marked - does not work at all, HTML is messed up.

Using ShowdownJS for markdown rendering. Added v2.1.0, but modified it slightly.
