Releases: k-e034/Katati-de-Kanji
Katati de Kanji v0.3.0
v0.2.0 — IPAmj Mincho bundled
What changed
- Bundled IPAmj Mincho (Ver.006.01) — the reference font for the MJ character collection the IDS backend targets. Rare/variant kanji now render consistently across devices without depending on
/system/fonts/NotoSansCJK-Regular.ttc. - Switched glyph loading in
ImeFonts.cjk()from/system/fontsto bundled asset.
APK size
~69 MB (v0.1.0 was 38 MB). The font itself accounts for ~30 MB compressed in the APK.
License
IPAmj Mincho is distributed under the IPA Font License v1.0 (see https://moji.or.jp/mojikiban/font/). The full license text ships inside the APK at assets/fonts/IPA_Font_License_Agreement_v1.0.txt as required by Article 3.1. App code remains under its own license — the IPA font license is not viral.
Install
Download katati-de-kanji-v0.2.0.apk, enable "Install from unknown sources" for your browser, install, then Settings → Languages & input → enable カタチで漢字.
Note: signed with the same development keystore as v0.1.0, so upgrading in-place from v0.1.0 works.
v0.1.0
Initial alpha release.
Install: Download katati-de-kanji-v0.1.0.apk, enable "Install from unknown sources" for your browser/file manager, open the APK to install, then go to Settings → Languages & input and enable カタチで漢字 as an input method.
Notable
- 12-key flick kana keyboard
- Shape-based kanji search via IDS (「きへんにもどる」→ 棙, 「うおへんにふゆ」→ 鮗, etc.)
- Bundled Noto Sans CJK JP for device-independent glyph rendering
- Prebuilt FTS4 database (~32 MB) shipped in assets
Known
- Signed with a development keystore (not the Google Play key). Future updates will need to come from the same APK source — installing a Play-store build later would require uninstall.
