Telegram Amiga - AROS i386 - alpha 0.0.1

Update 2026-06-21 — more features (same 0.0.1, just re-download the archive): online chat search (type a name or @username in the sidebar box, ENTER to find any user/group and open it -- it is added to your chat list), more emoji shown as text emoticons, the unread badge clears when you read a chat, and media messages show a [Photo]/[File] placeholder. On top of the earlier full-length messages, smooth scrolling and multi-line composer.

Update 2026-06-21: long messages are no longer truncated — full message display (the whole message: up to Telegram's 4096-char max on PPC/AROS, 2048 on m68k), pixel-smooth transcript scrolling that reaches any part of a tall message, and a multi-line composer that wraps as you type instead of running off the edge. Same 0.0.1 — re-download the archive.

Telegram Amiga — the first AROS i386 alpha (alt-abiv0, e.g. AROS One). A from-scratch, native MTProto Telegram client. Zero dependencies: no MUI, no ixemul, no AmiSSL — all cryptography (RSA, Diffie-Hellman, SRP/2FA, AES, SHA) is built in.

Two clients, one engine

• TelegramGUI — native Intuition GUI: chat list + conversation; scrollbars with mouse wheel, knob drag and arrow keys; live send/receive; "is typing" indicator; read receipts (v / vv); in-window login. Opens large and remembers its last size.
• TelegramTUI — text-mode / console client.

Install

Copy the drawer to a writable volume, then double-click TelegramGUI (or TelegramTUI). The first run signs you in (phone → code → optional 2FA). Full instructions: Manuale-IT.txt / Manual-EN.txt in the archive.

Requirements

AROS i386 (alt-abiv0 — e.g. AROS One) with a working TCP/IP stack (AROSTCP, providing bsdsocket.library) and internet access.

Notes

Alpha quality. Validated live on AROS One i386 (QEMU): logs in, shows the chat list and a real conversation with read receipts. Built with the abiv0 toolchain so it matches the AROS One i386 ABI. Never share telegram-auth.bin — it is your logged-in Telegram session.
