ScriptScreen Logo

ScriptScreen

A minimalist, high-contrast, distraction-free digital communication board designed for individuals who are temporarily unable to speak or require a simple text-display tool.

ScriptScreen runs entirely in the browser as a single-file application with zero dependencies, making it fast, secure, and private.

🌐 Live App: https://kanrog.com/ScriptScreen/

Features

  • High Contrast: Pure black background with crisp white text for maximum readability from a distance.
  • Smart Text Wrapping: Automatically wraps text to fit the screen width, preventing awkward horizontal scrolling.
  • Adjustable Font Size: Built-in A- and A+ buttons in the bottom right corner allow you to instantly scale the text size to your preference. On PC, you can also use PgUp and PgDn.
  • Persistent Preferences: Automatically saves your preferred font size using your browser's local storage.
  • Quick Reset(PC): Easily clear the entire screen using the "Delete" key on your keyboard.
  • One-Tap Clear(Mobile): A dedicated CLEAR button in the top right corner instantly wipes the screen clean, making it extremely fast and easy to use on mobile phones and tablets.
  • Zero Dependencies: Contained entirely within a single HTML file with no external servers, databases, or trackers. 100% private.

How to Use

  1. Visit the live web app: https://kanrog.com/ScriptScreen/
  2. Start typing your message immediately.

Tip!

If you're using a laptop or desktop, clone your display to a secondary monitor or connect a phone/tablet using an app like Spacedesk. This allows your messages to be easily viewable from multiple angles at once.

Installing as a Desktop App

  • In Chrome or Edge: Open the live link, go to your browser menu (three dots), select Apps -> Install this site as an app, and pin it to your taskbar.

Installing on a Mobile Phone

  • Android (Chrome): Open the live link, open the browser menu, and tap Add to Home screen.
  • iOS (Safari): Open the live link, tap the Share button, and select Add to Home Screen.
