I built an extension that will inject your hoarder bookmarks into your Google search result

It lets you add your Hoarder bookmarks right into your Google search results. I've been loving it for the past few weeks, and it's helped me find some old bookmarks I totally forgot about. Thanks for your suggestions. My idea is actually inspired by linkding injector, but I haven't actually used linkding injector or linkding myself. I've only read the introduction. If you think there are any features that would be very useful, please feel free to mention them, and I can try out linkding injector myself.

To @Cody-W-Tucker, I agree that it should be hidden when there are no results. I'll implement this feature in the next few days. As for putting the results on the right, I'm not so sure. Can you tell me why you don't like the results being pushed down? I personally prefer the current mode because I want to see the related content in my bookmarks first.

@DanSnow It's a cumulative layout shift issue.

It doesn't load as fast as google does, so if you're fast and try to click on a google result before pipette load the click might be on something else. It's just a frustration.

Thanks, I got it. I've also been trying to observe it in my own use recently, and there is indeed a layout shift problem. I will consider moving it to the side. Thanks again for your suggestion.

Sorry to say it's not working on my chrome Version 131.0.6778.265 on windows10.
I do see the "Hoarder Bookmarks" box but its empty no matter what i search for. Disabled extensions that might caus it but all to no avail. Would love to get this to work.
Right under the white box i see this"
"Hoarder Injector: Please open options page to configure your API key and URL" but i did enter it.

Hi @kriskras69,
It seems like you might have missed clicking the "Save" button. If you're still having trouble, please try this:

1. Click on the extension's icon.
2. Right-click on the popup that appears, and select "Inspect".
3. Switch to the "Console" tab.
4. Try saving your settings again.

If you see any red text or error messages, please copy and paste them here. I'll take a look and see if I can figure out what's going on.

"Config Saved", nothing red to be seen but all i see is an empty box saying Hoarder Bookmarks.
I do run hoarder local using 192.168.178.23:3022 but since pipette accepts it i assume that should be fine?

When i search for "Hoarder's Pipette" in the chrome web store i dont see it, was it taken down?

I plan to release a new version this week, which will add support for more search engines. However, these newly added search engines will not be enabled by default. I don't want to cause existing users' extensions to be disabled due to requests for more permissions.

Wondering if you could implement it differently, like when typing directly into the address bar have Hoarder results come up as suggestions? This would eliminate having to worry about page rendering issues and it would work regardless of the users preferred search engine.

It would be super amazing if this functionally could be built into the official extension as an option!

Cool, that's an interesting idea, thanks for bringing it up.

I just did a quick search, and it seems that search results can only be shown after a keyword is entered (e.g., "hoarder"). It doesn't seem possible to integrate results directly into the address bar's search results, and I'm not sure if that would be truly useful.
