Release: Major UX Upgrades, Gallery Mode

Instacalc has a few major redesigns, mostly for mobile:

Main features:

Global Nav

There's global nav on the left (my calcs / explore), and the right has panels. (keypad, calcy, theme). This matches the desktop.

Quick calc

Instacalc straddled the line between a pocket calculator and Excel. Except, there wasn't an easy way to get that quick-entry, pocket-calc experience... until now.

The quick calc (launched from floating toolbar) lets you

• Enter numbers in a throwaway scratchpad, like a "tape" calculator (results each have a line)
• Load up existing calcs
• Use regular, scientific, unit conversions and more

It's my vision for a really simple pocket calc.

Calc discovery

It's now much easier to browser the calc gallery on mobile. The goal is a starting point, countless templates to give ideas for what you can build with Instacalc. Over time, I want to have even more layers of verifications, but right now it's a wide collection of what's possible.

Under the hood improvements

There were a lot of behind-the-scenes improvements, mostly bugfixes and polishing.

This UI update is setting the stage for a major calc mode -- coming soon!

• Tap targets brought up to 44px minimum (iOS HIG)
• Scroll trap on /explore fixed
• Sheet animations respect prefers-reduced-motion

• 91 previously undocumented engine functions added to the help

• seq() signature and arrow-syntax docs corrected
