Open database directly from network (samba/nfs) or ftps/sftp share

I´ve seen some comments in the past requesting this feature. But for me it has been silent for some time. Search did not reveal (recent) requests.
Is there a way to directly open a keepass database from a network (samba/nfs) or ftps/sftp share (without pre-mounting) under linux (Fedora)?
Using the obvious direct path urls like smb://username... and sftp://** do not work as far as I know.

Is there a way to fix or implement this within KeepassXC?

I'm hoping that more people would love this feature or know how to do this already ;)

Setting up remote sync with standard linux commands is a feature coming in 2.8.0. It is already merged into develop and you can test it using a snapshot build at https://snapshot.keepassxc.org

Thank you for the suggestion - I tried the snapshot appimage package - but it does not run on my Fedora 44 install.
Any writting info on what the remote sync feature does?
Can it access smb/nfs network shares or does it just copy/transfer a file? Ideally it should be aware of changes made and if so give merging options.

We are not going to integrate a network file service into the application. You should just mount the drive and let your OS take care of all the particulars. The remote sync service lets you keep a local database file that can be synced with a remote source using any command line tool such as rsync, sftp, etc.
