VanillaGuide (Updated)

A step-by-step 1–60 leveling guide addon for World of Warcraft 1.12.1 (Vanilla/Classic) servers, built on the Ace2 framework.

Features

  • 📖 Step-by-step guides for both Horde and Alliance, from level 1 to 60
  • 🗺️ Waypoint arrow — on-screen directional arrow pointing to your next objective
  • Auto Quest — automatically accepts and turns in guide quests
  • 📍 Map pins — marks guide objectives on the world map, with optional route preview
  • 🔍 Quest pins — shows quest objective locations on the world map (similar to pfQuest)
  • 🐾 Minimap objectives — shows quest objective dots on the minimap

Installation

  1. Download or clone this repository.
  2. Copy the VanillaGuide-Updated folder into your WoW addons directory:
    World of Warcraft/Interface/AddOns/VanillaGuide/
    
  3. Launch WoW and enable VanillaGuide in the AddOns menu on the character selection screen.

Usage

Open or close the guide window by typing /vguide toggle or /vg toggle in chat.

Slash Commands

All commands use /vguide or the shorthand /vg:

Command Description
/vg toggle Show/hide the main guide window
/vg suggest Switch to the suggested guide for your current level
/vg skip Skip to the next incomplete step
/vg complete Mark the current step as completed
/vg quests Toggle the quest list pop-out
/vg arrow Toggle the waypoint arrow
/vg autoquest Toggle auto accept/turn-in for guide quests
/vg mappins Toggle map pins on the world map
/vg route Toggle route preview on the world map
/vg npcviewer Toggle the NPC model viewer
/vg minimap Toggle minimap button visibility
/vg resetminimap Reset the minimap button position
/vg compass Toggle the minimap compass (N/E/S/W)
/vg questpins Toggle quest objective pins on the world map
/vg questtips Toggle quest info in NPC/mob tooltips
/vg tracker Toggle the moveable quest tracker panel
/vg minimapmobs Toggle quest objective dots on the minimap
/vg progress Show current guide progress in chat
/vg markdone Mark the current step as completed

Requirements
