Mudroom 0.2.0
The Mudroom CLI now runs on Windows 10 and 11, x86_64 and arm64, with Docker Desktop (WSL 2) or Podman as the sandbox backend. The Mac app is unchanged.
Install on Windows
scoop bucket add kernel-hunter https://github.com/Kernel-Hunter/scoop-bucket
scoop install mudroomOr download mudroom-0.2.0-windows-x86_64.zip or mudroom-0.2.0-windows-arm64.zip below. The zip includes the Swift runtime, so you don't need Swift installed. Then install Docker Desktop or Podman and run mudroom image build --backend docker once.
On a Mac: brew upgrade --cask mudroom.
Tested so far on Windows
- Every release zip is unzipped and run on a CI machine that never had Swift installed, for both architectures.
- A real session with Podman (create, diff, apply) passes in CI on x86_64 with the network open.
- Locked network mode (the allowlist proxy) hasn't passed in CI on Windows yet, and Docker Desktop hasn't been tested on a real PC. If you try it, please open an issue with what happened, good or bad.
- Signing in with the host's
claudeCLI isn't available on Windows yet.mudroom agent login claudesigns in inside the sandbox instead.
See the README's Windows section for the full list.

Mudroom 0.1.1
- Applying a big change is faster. On 44,801 new files (about what an agent's
npm installleaves behind), apply went from 28.5 s to 11.6 s and undo from 6.8 s to 3.8 s. Files are now staged in parallel before the project is touched. The project itself is still changed one path at a time, with the same rollback journal. - The network log shows IPv6 hosts as
[::1]:443instead of::1:443, and a request that never named a host as "(no host)" instead of/:0. Those rows no longer offer an Allow button that couldn't do anything.
Install or update with brew install --cask kernel-hunter/tap/mudroom (or brew upgrade --cask mudroom), or download the zip below.
