Impossible to start Infix with qemu/run.sh in release tarballs

Description

Some rough edges we could improve on:

/tmp/infix-x86_64-26.01.0-rc1 $ ./qemu/run.sh
stat: cannot statx '../rootfs.squashfs': No such file or directory
Starting Qemu  ::  Ctrl-a x -- exit | Ctrl-a c -- toggle console/monitor
qemu: error reading initrd ../rootfs.squashfs: Failed to open file “../rootfs.squashfs”: open() failed: No such file or directory
/tmp/infix-x86_64-26.01.0-rc1 $ 

There is an extract_squashfs() helper function in start.sh, but it doesn't seem to work. The utils/extract-squashfs.sh script in the main repo does work, however.
