timezone support #2873
Conversation
Summary of ChangesHello @doomedraven, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed! This pull request enhances the application's datetime handling by introducing configurable timezone support. It allows the system to operate with a user-defined timezone, moving away from a hardcoded UTC assumption for naive datetime objects. This change improves the system's adaptability for deployments across different geographical regions, ensuring that timestamps and time-related operations align with local expectations. Highlights

Code Review
The pull request introduces timezone support by adding a "timezone" option to "cuckoo.conf.default" and modifying the "_utcnow_naive" function in "lib/cuckoo/core/database.py" to use this configured timezone. This change allows the system to handle timestamps according to a specified timezone, defaulting to UTC if none is provided or if the provided timezone is invalid. The "_utcnow_naive" function now correctly retrieves the current time in the configured timezone and converts it to a naive datetime object, aligning with the database's expectation for naive datetimes. The import statements were also reordered for better organization.
