I was starting it via the application icon - but when it just stayed on the loading screen, I tried from command line to see what was going on.
Both /Applications/Keybase.app/Contents/MacOS/Keybase and the open command fail to get past "Loading..."

I had assumed it was an IPv6 issue - but just disabled it - still have the same problem.

I think I was able to reproduce this on Sierra... The app is getting a terminate immediately on start, but it doesn't seem to happen everytime though. This seems like a new weirdness with Sierra. We're looking into this to see if it's a beta OS weirdness or something on our side.

If you kill the app and retry the open it might work:

I'm curious to see if the same error is happening on startup every time. Thanks for you help!

And if it says loading, can you let it ride for around 30 seconds before doing a log send?

After running the below, I was able to start the app.
/Applications/Keybase.app/Contents/SharedSupport/bin/keybase -d --log-format=file install --format=json --components=service

I've generated a log of the (now working) install - 7a33b158fe5129b31bf19d1c

Thanks for the log... so it looks like it still not fully installed (though the service was from running that manually). What is the output of this? (Running the full install manually.)
