Keycloak With IDP SAML Integration

Hi all,
Need support on the below.

our application is based on OIDC
keycloak is configured to work as SAML IDP broker
Saml IDP is provided by the Okta
SP initiated login is fine
but IDP initiated login is not working
is IDP initiated login works for OIDC based keycloak application(client) as well ? or it will work only if application uses saml (client) ?
if it will work for OIDC application/client, then should i create saml client so that external IDP can use that ?
