This project is a Python script that uses OpenAI's GPT-3.5-turbo model to generate domain names based on user input and check their availability for .com
- Python 3.7 or higher
- pip (Python package installer)
- Go to OpenAI's website and sign up for an account if you haven't already.
- Once logged in, navigate to the API keys page.
- Click on "Create new secret key" and copy the generated key.

Clone this repository to your local machine.

Create a
.envfile in the root directory of the project and add your OpenAI API key: OPENAI_API_KEY=your_api_key_hereReplace
your_api_key_herewith the API key you copied from OpenAI. -
Create and activate a virtual environment:
Windows: python -m venv venv .\venv\Scripts\activate
macOS and Linux: python3 -m venv venv source venv/bin/activate

Install the required packages:
pip install -r requirements.txt
Note: This project uses version 0.27 of the OpenAI library. Newer versions may not be compatible with the current code setup.
Run the script using: python domainFinder.py
Follow the prompts to input domain name descriptions. The script will generate domain suggestions and check their availability.
