Hourly quota in Kimai

Hi all,

I have a question about the use of Kimai and hope that you can help me.

Our billing model stipulates that our customers pay a monthly base price that includes a certain number of hours (X hours). If customers exceed these included hours, the additional hours are to be billed at a different price.

Is it possible to implement such a model in Kimai? If so, could you please explain how this can be implemented?

This is only possible with a work-around:

• Create an expense (with the expense plugin) every month for the base price of that customer
• Setup a project with a monthly time budget and use that for time-tracking, make it billable with an hourly rate of 0 (that way its still counted, but does not show up as revenue)
• Once the capacity of that project was reached (disallow budget overbooking in the System > Settings) switch to another project that has the new hourly rate configured
