Showing partial contents of email on list view

The mockup you see on the homepage shows what I feel is a much more polished version of what is installed as default in 4.4.3. For example, it shows part of the email contents. How can we enable this? What is the roadmap to have a theme that matches that shown on the homepage or am I doing something wrong?

To be honest, there is no plan to make it like that as it does not contain anywhere near all the info that is in the current UI. It was a simple mockup as I did not have (and still dont) have any dummy mail boxes I could screenshot for the page. But if you talk about the 3 pane layout. then that is already there and can be enabled in settings and is called vertical split (I actually remembered it as being default).
