This release brings a visual refresh to the user interface. Serif fonts have been replaced with sans-serif (IBM Plex Sans) for headings and colours have been muted and made more consistent. The following screenshots show the old and new versions side-by-side.
Colours
Panels are now lighter and option tabs changed from multi-colour to two kinds (primary and secondary triggers).
Modal option panels
The form to modify search options now uses standard toggles and options are categorised under headings. A modal overlay is used to dim and disable the rest of the page when option panels are displayed.
Query bookmarks
The bookmark panel now displays more information, including whether the bookmark is shareable (public/private). It uses the same modal overlay as the options panel.
Result tables
Result tables now use more muted row striping and slightly increased spacing.
Isolate information pages
Project lists on isolate record pages now use hyperlinked cards that navigate to the described dataset and provide more information.
Button use is more consistent. Grey buttons are used for links in result headers and to perform actions solely within a page (here an explicit grey button expands linked references), while blue buttons are used for form submission and for links to other pages.
Curator interface
The curator interface has seen the biggest change. Large icons have been removed and replaced with smaller cards, with explicit buttons.
When the toggle to show all curator options is selected, cards are now categorised under different headings, and the cards shrink with descriptions relegated to tooltips.
Administrator functions are also now categorised under headings using smaller cards. Different sections can be toggled as previously.
