GOG Galaxy

Windows only. Requires GOG Galaxy 2.x installed.

How it works

accshift snapshots the Galaxy session of the account you are logged into (login token, client configuration and local session caches), encrypts it at rest, and restores it when you switch. Your password is never seen or stored.

Adding an account

  1. Open the GOG Galaxy tab in accshift and click +.
  2. accshift snapshots the currently tracked session, closes Galaxy, clears the live session and opens the Galaxy login screen.
  3. Sign in to an account that is not already saved.
  4. Once Galaxy has written a fresh session, accshift closes it, encrypts the snapshot and lets you name the account.

The GOG numeric user id is read from Galaxy's Windows registry settings. A different id is required for each add flow; an id that was already known does not count as a new login.

Switching

Click an account card. accshift closes Galaxy, restores that account's session snapshot, then relaunches Galaxy signed in as that account.

If the session has expired server-side, Galaxy shows its login screen once; log in and the snapshot is refreshed on the next switch away.

Troubleshooting

  • An existing login appears without a saved snapshot: use the + flow to capture accounts. Merely opening the GOG tab can discover the current numeric id, but it does not turn that live session into a restorable snapshot.
  • Login keeps waiting: leave Galaxy open until sign-in is complete and its client configuration has been written. accshift rejects stale or empty session files.
  • Custom install path: set the folder containing GalaxyClient.exe, or the executable itself, in Settings > GOG Galaxy if auto-detection fails.
