Jagex Launcher

Windows only. Requires the Jagex Launcher (RuneScape / Old School RuneScape) installed.

How it works

The Jagex Launcher keeps its session in local files plus a Windows Credential Manager entry. accshift snapshots both, encrypts them at rest, and swaps them on switch. Your password is never seen or stored.

Jagex accounts have no readable public identifier on disk, so each saved account gets a private internal id. Give it a recognizable name when adding it.

Adding an account

  1. Open the Jagex Launcher tab in accshift and click +.
  2. accshift opens the Jagex Launcher. Log into the account you want to add.
  3. Once the login is detected, name the account and confirm. The session is snapshotted and encrypted.

Repeat for each account.

Switching

Click an account card. accshift closes the launcher, restores that account's session (files + Credential Manager entry), then relaunches the launcher signed in.

The current account shown in accshift is the last one you switched to.

Troubleshooting

  • Launcher not detected: set the install path in Settings > Jagex Launcher.
  • Login not detected while adding: keep the launcher open until it reaches the game selection screen, then return to accshift.
