Ubisoft Connect

Switch between Ubisoft accounts used in Ubisoft Connect (Assassin's Creed, Rainbow Six Siege, Far Cry, and so on).

Windows only. No native macOS client, and the Linux client is not viable for switching. accshift does not show this platform on those OSes.

How it works

Ubisoft Connect remembers your login between launches. accshift saves that "remembered login" per account and swaps the active one on switch:

  1. The current login is saved as a snapshot.
  2. Ubisoft Connect is closed.
  3. The target snapshot is restored.
  4. Ubisoft Connect is relaunched and signs in as that account.

accshift also detects existing accounts from the savegame folders on your PC, so accounts you have used before show up automatically.

Adding accounts

Two paths:

  1. Auto-detected: accounts with savegame directories on this PC are listed automatically.
  2. Add Account flow: Ubisoft Connect closes and reopens on a fresh login. Sign in; accshift detects the new account.

Labels

Accounts are identified by UUID internally. Right-click an account and choose Rename to set a human-readable label.

Forgetting accounts

Right-click and choose Forget to remove an account from accshift. The savegame directory on disk stays put, but accshift will not re-detect it on the next refresh. Sign back in through Ubisoft Connect to bring the account back.

Windows

The only supported OS. Auto-detects the launcher install path; override in Settings > Ubisoft Connect if needed.

Settings

  • Ubisoft Connect path: override if auto-detection fails.
  • Show last login: timestamps on cards.

Troubleshooting

  • Switch lands on the previous account: confirm Ubisoft Connect was killed before the restore. accshift waits for the process to exit, but a hung child process can keep auth files open.
  • Account does not reappear after Forget: that is by design. Sign in through Ubisoft Connect to re-detect.
