Self-contained forward-pointing doc that a fresh session can pick up without reading the full prior transcript. Companion to the E0008.3 session ledger: the ledger is the retrospective record, this handoff is the prospective one. Structure: - Where we are (epoch, what shipped, prod verification state) - The governing arc: prompt-over-code refactor of all oddkit tools — this is where the session started and the big remaining work still sits. The canary (telemetry_policy) is one tool. Ten more tools still exhibit the vodka anti-pattern (canon defines vocabulary; tool code hardcodes interpretation). - Priority 1: internal oddkit rename (scope expanded — zero external users, no backward-compat constraint, strip legacy aliases); DOLCHEO vocabulary canon; triage of stale PRs #56/#57 - Priority 2: the 10-tool canary-template refactor in rough priority order (encode first — biggest vocabulary mismatch) - Priority 3: canon principles queued (teams-over-swarms, solo-to-team transition, bugbot-as-validator, mechanical-work- belongs-in-code) - Priority 4: encode batch-mode feature - Priority 5: writing thread (book, essays, course) - Priority 6: infrastructure non-urgent items - Open questions Q1–Q5 carried forward - Operating notes for the fresh session (mode discipline, canon-search-before-asking, live-smoke ship-blocker, DOLCHEO continuous tracking) - Recommended first action: P1.1 rename (mechanical, low-risk, fresh-eyes appropriate) OR P1.2+P4.1 (DOLCHEO canon + encode batch-mode bundled, higher impact) The handoff explicitly names the prompt-over-code refactor arc as predating E0008.3 and still governing remaining work — to prevent the fresh session from treating E0008.3 as the end state rather than one detour in a longer arc.
