What it does

GitFind tracks thousands of GitHub repositories and scores them using an Early Signal Score — a proprietary algorithm that detects genuinely rising projects before they go mainstream. Every project gets an AI-generated summary written in plain English, so you don't need to be a developer to understand what it does or why it matters.

• Early Signal Score — weighted algorithm combining star velocity, contributor ratios, fork activity, social mentions, and commit frequency
• Daily snapshots — stars, forks, and open issues tracked over time for every repo
• AI enrichment — Claude-generated plain-English summaries and categorization

Getting started

git clone https://github.com/nicholaskayu/gitfind-v2.git
cd gitfind-v2
npm install

Copy the example env file and fill in your keys:

cp .env.example .env.local

Start the dev server:

npm run dev

Open http://localhost:3000.

Data pipeline

Four GitHub Actions workflows run on staggered schedules:
