Improve control of underfloor heating

Use derived warm-up and cool-down sensors to improve control of underfloor heating. Rooms with underfloor heating typically warm up more slowly but can overshoot the target temperature because residual heat remains in the floor after the thermostat reaches the setpoint.

Access to these sensor values could help anticipate temperature changes, avoid overheating, and make underfloor heating control more efficient.

As an aside, do you have floor sensors too? I'm slowly installing them in all my rooms and it cuts out heating when the floor reaches a certain point. Not as elegant as using the warm up rate but a good plan b.

Not yet, but shouldn't be hard to install. What is your floor temperature to cut at
?

It varies by room, downstairs we have varying thicknesses of concrete floor so some warm up quicker than others, upstairs there are some floors that don't really warm up that well, I need to figure out what's going on there.

They vary between 25 - 30c though, the latter has the sensor above one of heating pipes though so sounds hotter than it is. Annoyingly that's also in the coldest room.
