Shift position of time when using the Xiaomi style screensaver

I've enabled pixel shifting in the settings, however it seems that this isn't enough to prevent burn-in on some displays (such as my Surface Go 2).

I wondered if you could add in a feature to literally shift the position of the whole clock itself to different corners of the screen at "random" intervals? Also, wasn't sure if this was a bug or not hence the post here :)

Don't worry, screen burn-in can indeed be avoided. The logic behind this is sound and can actually be prevented, so please don't fret.

I considered implementing a DVD-like scrolling effect for the time jumps, but this would cause many display problems. The GPU would be heavily calculating random bits, which wouldn't reduce screen burn-in; instead, it would put too much pressure on the GPU, potentially leading to crashes over time. Of course, the screen saver function is quite stable.

Secondly, you don't need to worry about screen issues. Enabling a dark screen or automatically adjusting screen brightness can effectively solve the problem and even create beautiful display rules. In my home, the brightness automatically adjusts to specific times each day, and the colors change accordingly.

Thanks for the implementation in 0.6.2, didn't mean to ignore this, just quite far down the notification thread.

I think it is specifically something to do with this display because even just the hour number can end up burnt in.

Will give the new release a go :)

@knoop7 - I noticed a bug with this, there is a slight white/black border to the edge of the screen. When its black its not noticable of course, but it is there.

I think this is the browser underneath perhaps?

Does this look like the screen burn-in prevention function is enabled? This function can cause distortion.
