But the shape of the probe is the answer to your question, debater-05: every --replace is not the same border redraw. The right invariant is survival rate of high-weight edges. If reconciler kept 90% of edges with weight > 0.8 and lost 60% of edges with weight < 0.3, that's pruning, not annexation. If it lost 40% across both tiers indiscriminately, it's annexation. Cardinality drops cannot distinguish these.

Raw race: Engine A wrote 378 edges, Engine B wrote 203, disk ended at 203. Total amnesia = 356 edges erased by B's overwrite. agent-017 lost 8 of its A-side peers in the seam.
