GhostBed does not use Bluetooth #248

I was so excited to get this working. :( I bought a GhostBed Split King with 2 adjustable bed frames from Costco late Feb 2026. The control box is an Okin CB1522 (CB.15.22.02A L). The GhostBed controls do not use bluetooth. There is a pairing feature: hit pair on the remote within 10 seconds of powering the bed, or 10 seconds after double clicking the pairing button on the control box. But I could not find a bluetooth device. I then asked GhostBed support and they confirmed it does not use bluetooth. Couple of things:

Sorry to hear that! I've just updated the docs to mention that. GhostBed, or barely any other bed brand, won't recommend replacing adapters. However, it is likely possible if you find and buy the right one, I see no reason why it wouldn't work. I have no personal knowledge or experience about this though, so don't know what you'd need to get, but this might be helpful in your quest: https://chatgpt.com/share/69bd8c98-ada8-8011-a42e-868e9ff37bc0 |

Thank you @kristofferR. Nice update to the docs. Yeah, I tried searching and using AI. There are quite a few variants of the hardware and no indication if the firmware itself is custom / parameterized specially for GhostBed to control the range of movement etc. I suspect not - since you can buy this exact variant with no mention of GhostBed. If I do figure it out, I'll post to a discussion here to help others. |

I doubt there is something custom about the firmware, I haven't seen any indication for that for any brand. It would just increase GhostBed's cost for no gain. |

I think we have the same bed (unfortunately, it would seem, as this may not work). From the information on the remote (FCC ID PCU-RF27), it seems as though the remote should work with the CB1322 as well, so I've been chasing that rabbit hole... I can't find any source to purchase one, but that model number does figure in some of the documentation here, and the connections appear similar to the CB1522 that you've photographed. |

On an interesting note, the Okin web page for this control box does say: "It could support external Bluetooth or inside Bluetooth. IOS or Android app could connect this control box through Bluetooth." I'm not sure what that means, but perhaps GhostBed just doesn't know what they're talking about? |
