bug: No welcome or verification email sent after successful registration

🐛 Describe the Bug
After successfully registering an account, no welcome
or confirmation email is received by the user.

🔁 Steps to Reproduce

1. Go to /signup
2. Fill in name, email, password
3. Click "Create Account"
4. Check registered email inbox

❌ Actual Behaviour
No email is received after registration —
no welcome email, no confirmation, nothing.

✅ Expected Behaviour
User should receive a welcome/confirmation email
after successful registration.

🌍 Environment
Browser: Chrome | OS: Windows 11

I would like to work on this bug under GSSoC'26.

I have experience with MERN stack development and backend integration. I plan to investigate and fix the issue preventing welcome/confirmation emails from being sent after successful user registration.

I will ensure the email functionality works reliably and verify the complete registration flow without affecting existing features.
