Would it be possible to add "vehicle.isMoving" as an entity? I can configure this in my DataStream within the BMW portal.

Thank you. I updated to V4.4.5 but haven‘t seen an entity for vehicle is moving in home assistant. Do I have to add it manually?

Indeed, you are right, it was only created if BMW was providing it, and it seems they don't provide it for your vehicle or mine. I added a fallback using GPS positions, but it didn't create the sensor if it was missing. This should be solved in d0cf9f9

Of course, you need to move the vehicle for at least 50m to see the sensor appearing with the latest HEAD version.

Do a manual install by downloading the git. The code is in there.

Otherwise wait till after new year. Then I'll release update. During these days not pushing to many updates as they might rely on stuff during the holidays

I tested with V4.4.6 and recognized that the entity "vehicle motion state" sometimes still shows "is moving" even though the car has been parked since the last API call. I just wanted to report that but saw that you have made already a fix in 4.4.7. Wow!

I will keep testing with 4.4.7 and report back if it works now reliably.
Interesting that the BMW server is not providing this information even though the value is in the data stream...

Ok, I further tested with V4.4.7 and unfortunately the status still remains in "is moving" even though the vehicle ist parked since hours and the last update was received 30min ago... Do you need any more information to track this?

paste it into your code and restart it or wait for next realease

Ok, today there was the following procedure:

• Vehicle Motion State was "not moving" until 07:50
• At 07:50:49 the car started to move and the Vehicle Motion State correctly changed at 07:51:47 (1 minute later) to "is moving"
• At around 08:20 the car was parked but the Vehicle Motion State stayed at "is moving" until the car was moved again around 17:35

I will send you the debug log via PM.

Normally, logs are already obfuscated for the VIN, there should not be a lot of private data in them.

Lat and Long is inside the log. Therefore I truncated the log slightly. Hopefully it is enough to analyze.

PS, this was a log when you were moving right? Not when you were parked somewhere?
