FLOG is a super simple, "no-fuss" rangefinder for your Fitbit Versa 3 or Fitbit Sense.
It handles the distances so you can focus on your swing. It works on ANY golf course in the world because you teach it where the greens are as you play!
On your watch, tap NEW COURSE. The watch will start looking for your location (GPS).
Tapping the "HOLE X" text on the main screen opens a grid of 18 holes. You can jump to any hole instantly to mark it or see its distance.
The first time you play a course, walk to the middle of the green on any hole.
- Tap the red EDIT button in the top corner (this "unlocks" the marking button).
- Tap the yellow MARK button.
- Tap YES, SET HERE. (If it says "WAITING...", it just needs a better GPS signal).
- Your watch vibrates. Done!
- Tap EDIT again to lock it.
Next time you stand on the fairway, the watch will show you exactly how many Meters (or Yards) you are from the center of that green.
By default, rounds are named "New Round". To give it a real name (like Pebble Beach):
- Open the Fitbit App on your phone.
- Tap your Watch Icon (top left).
- Tap Gallery → Flog → Settings.
- Type the name in the "Course Name" box.
- Your watch will update instantly!
Did you map a perfect course? Share it with your buddies!
- Go to the Flog Settings on your phone (see above).
- Copy the long Export Code.
- Text it to your friend.
- They paste it into their "Import Code" box.
- Their watch now has all your markers!
You can choose your units in the phone settings:
- Meters (Default)
- Yards
- Wait for GPS: When you first start, stand outside for 30 seconds. The numbers will show "---" until the watch finds the satellites.
- Play Mode vs Edit Mode: Most of the time, keep it in Play Mode (locked). This prevents you from accidentally moving a hole marker if you bump your watch.
- Battery: GPS uses a lot of battery. Make sure your watch has at least 50% charge before you start 18 holes.
FLOG is built specifically for the following Fitbit models:
- ✅ Fitbit Versa 3
- ✅ Fitbit Sense
Caution
Other Models: This app will not work on older models (Versa 1, 2, or Lite) or the newer Google-era watches (Versa 4 or Sense 2) due to Fitbit software limitations.
If you are installing this manually:
npm installnpm run build- Use the Fitbit Developer Bridge to install to your watch.
