initial beta release (1.0.0)

offpay allows you to manage banking completely offline using secure ussd (*99#) automation.

important: installation steps (beta only)

because offpay automates financial services via *99# codes, android and google treat it with high security. since this is an offline beta distributed via github, you must follow these two steps to install and run the app:

step 1: temporarily turn off play protect (tutorial)

google's automated scanner blocks the installation completely because it doesn't recognize the app signature yet.

  1. open the google play store app.
  2. tap your profile icon (top right) -> play protect.
  3. tap the settings gear (top right).
  4. turn off "scan apps with play protect".
  5. now, open your file manager and install offpayappbeta.apk.

(note: we have submitted an official appeal to google to whitelist this app signature so this step won't be needed in future releases.)

step 2: allow restricted settings (for android 13+) ( full guide for all phones )

android automatically locks accessibility permissions for sideloaded apps. to unlock it:

  1. go to your phone's settings -> apps -> offpay.
  2. tap the three dots in the top right corner.
  3. select "allow restricted settings" and confirm with your phone pin/fingerprint.
  4. now, open the offpay app and you will be able to enable the accessibility service cleanly.

how to enable banking

  1. turn on *99# services from your official bhim app settings.
  2. make sure your bank account is properly connected (tutorial)
