Current behaviour

1. Quit Joplin completely
2. Start Joplin from cold
3. It takes 30 seconds or more to show anything. It stays a blank grey window for a while.
4. Additionally the interface is very sluggish like when switching between notebooks or opening notes.

Since the last couple of upgrades, not sure if it was 3.1.x or 3.2.x Joplin startup has been extremely slow. It looks like the app is stuck. I don't see anything

Expected behaviour

Joplin startup should not take more than 30 seconds to a minute just to start on an M1 mac with 32GB ram. This behaviour is noticeable even on a clean start with nothing but Joplin loaded .

I have pasted the log below this is from just after starting the app with no action performed.

Same here. Joplin 3.2.10 startup is very fast once I rolled back from 3.2.11. Had the same slow start issue a while back when for a few versions were slow and then it was suddenly starting fast again again.

Still na issue with Joplin 3.2.12 (prod, darwin)

On my Macbook Pro I measure the following startup sequence:

• "Loading phase" >> second 0...25
• white screen >> second 25....34
• sync'ing ca. 100 notes >> second 34...42

My machine:
2023 M2 Pro, 32GB Memory, 1TB SSD, Sequoia 15.3.1
Joplin: 3.2.13

In my case, I uninstalled it completely, then reinstalled it and it started loading quickly again

i tried that too, did not help. And yes, all files removed (using AppCleaner), and also deleted the .config Joplin files. Same speed :(
